VAULT closes its triumphant doors!
We shut our doors last Saturday (Tim’s Birthday) after six magnificent and extraordinary weeks of festival. What a time we had! We were incredibly proud to have curated and commissioned this years VAULT to the standard that – across the board – impressed and inspired over twenty thousand guests.
Our favourite events from the line up included Move To Stand (link) whose show The Collision of Things was utterly breathtaking, and wonderfully performed by a small ensemble. We have to say, Yve Blake‘s Then was also one of our favourites – we wish both of them the very best as those shows go on to fly in other places. It would be impossible to list everything we enjoyed about the programme here, so you’ll just have to peruse the VAULT website to see it all.
Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, directed by Lou Stein, managed to utterly divide the critics. Two four star reviews, two two star reviews, a five AND a one – so who was right? Well, nearly five thousand people came to see the show, so I’m sure you know one of them. Why not ask them – if they can remember it! Lots of totally immersed audiences for that show…
The Cement Garden was a real gem, and David Aula really created something that we, as Creative Producers, were proud to help with. George Mackay and Ruby Bentall led a spectacular cast, with David Annen, Victoria Gould, Georgia Clarke-Day and Chris Webster receiving standing ovations on many nights of their sellout run. There might even be a future for this show… Stay tuned!

VAULT 2016 Comes To An End
March arrives, another VAULT Festival comes to an end with a celebration.
After six weeks of eclectic performances, VAULT Festival 2016 closed on Sunday 6th March, after our most successful year yet with 45,000 in attendance over the six weeks. Highlights were celebrated with VAULT Festival Awards for shows such as ‘Skin A Cat’, ‘The Vanishing Man’, ‘Orator’ and many others.
