Presented by the Heritage Arts Company, in association with the World Monuments Fund: Britain, The Great Auction will transform Buckinghamshire’s Stowe House and its grounds, for one weekend in Summer 2011, into an immersive theatrical and acivity-packed exploration of local heritage.
Working with the support of the Stowe House Preservation Trust and Stowe Events, the event aims to throw open the doors of one of the nation’s most spectacular houses to the public in an innovative and unforgettable way. Featuring a theatrical centrepiece which will take audiences through the house’s most magnificent rooms, The Great Auction will showcase artistic contributors from the breadth of Britain, highlighting and celebrating Stowe’s immense cultural value to the locality and the nation.
